Circumstances of deathWas killed on HMS HAMPSHIRE of the Orkney Islands. Ship was on its way to Russia with Lord Kitchener to attend negotiations who was also drowned.The ship was sunk by a mine and loss of life was 736 drowned and only 12 survivors. His body was never recovered.
